Lyme Hall and Park

We had to take a trip to Derby for biometrics on October 4 (ahem...I'm late posting again). Our appointment was at 10:30am, and rather than fight rush-hour traffic, we drove up a day early. We're thankful for the opportunity to drive through the Peak District which we had not previously seen. We spent much of the day at Lyme Park.

Lyme Hall served as the exterior for Pemberley in the 1995 BBC filming of Pride and Prejudice.

The adventure playground was great fun!

Cooper and Noah led the way through the Moors to the Cage. Caleb walked with his daddy.

 It was quite windy near the cage! The tower was originally built as a hunting lodge and later used as a park-keeper's cottage and as a lock-up for prisoners (poachers caught during the night). It was also used for training during WWII.
