Wasenweiler

Wasenweiler, Germany is a small village on the outskirts of Freiburg with a population of around 1000. We didn't know the name of the village until we arrived. For the next 2 weeks we will be staying at the home of Peter and Louise Vimalasekaren while they are in Northern Ireland. They have not only allowed us to use their home, but Louise stocked the fridge and cupboards and prepared the flat for our visit. She found the time to do this even though a large mission team they were hosting for a few weeks left the morning of our arrival, and she was preparing her own family for a visit to Northern Ireland for two weeks. They have also put us in contact with a  kind family that has been helping us. Sabine picked us up at the airport and took me to pick up groceries and a train ticket. Her daughter, Johanna, accompanied us to Titisee and helped us learn the train routes. The Lord continues to provide for us each step of our journey.

We are staying on the second floor of the building above.

The boys have done very well sleeping (and some playing) on the bunk bed. We hope to be able to get one for our flat in Aberdeen.

 Below are pictures from a walk through Wasenweiler. It's a quiet, serene village with lush vegetation. We've enjoyed all of the flowers and local fare. There are vineyards on the hills behind the flat. We plan on taking a walk that way soon.

Tonight, we plan to walk a little more than 2 miles (3.4 km) to the nearby town of Ihringen to attend worship. The church only has an evening service.
