Jousting and Falconry at Blenheim

We had a fantastic outing at Blenheim Palace a couple of Saturdays ago. 

We walked through the gardens to the South Lawn.

The boys watched a puppet show.

They really enjoyed it!

It was a real treat to see a Barn Owl in person having watched them on Deadly 60.

There were also Falcons showcasing their skills as seen in the video below.

We ate our picnic lunch during the exhibition.

Caleb took a snooze.

 Next, there was a jousting tournament.

This was Noah's favorite knight.

"Jousting" - It was totally staged, but the boys still liked it.

 After the jousting tournament, we went to the adventure play area.

The boys checked out the maze to determine our route.

Back off again.

That's one serious game of checkers.
