O Christmas Tree

One of my favorite things to do over the holidays is visit a Christmas tree farm. I'm not talking about the trees piled up in the nursery section of a store or in a parking lot. I'm referring to a location more like this:

We visited Tyrebagger tree sales located in the forest. Reminiscent of days spent at Papa Nun's farm back home, Nick tucked his trousers (as they say here) into his boots because of all the mud. It was drizzling, but that only increased the probability of the boys having an excellent time by getting absolutely filthy. We were not disappointed.
We searched through rows of already cut trees.

We eventually unanimously selected the beauty pictured below.

Nick loaded the tree in the van and then picked up a few venison burgers.

Nick and Caleb munching on some deer meat.

Cooper, Noah, and Blair eating their share.

Quick photo opp with a fairy and an elf.

Time to decorate! The boys were very excited about their new ornaments from Gigi and Papa.

The sight of our lovely fir has occasioned many smiles.
