Punting on the River Cherwell

Nick helped move Wolfson College's punting boats and in return received a free punting license. We can now go punting for up to three hours a day at no charge! Punting definitely goes on the list of favorite things to do in and around Oxford.
This past Saturday, we went to football from 9-10 and then went punting from 11-2. It was a long day, but the sunshine is seriously irresistible.
The boys were eager to get started.

Ready to go!

Taking it all in.

Relaxing.

Hiding from the sun.

We saw a number of mother ducks with ducklings.

Cheeky Monkey

Nick maneuvered in between the other punts perfectly.

Picnic lunch outside The Victoria Arms.

Nick did all of the work.

The boys chilled out.

Blair relaxed.

  5. Mom, hopefully that will be an option. I don't know if University College has punting. If not, we can always rent a boat (or beg Wolfson to let us get a permit!).
